Gerard Bonvenue
Vampires of Istanbul / Istanbul / Tremere
Position: Regent of Istanbul, master of the third cirle, and public face of the Tremere leadership in Istanbul.
Appearance: Gerard is a martinette in most senses of the word. He stands a 4'10," a perfect minature of an imposing military officer. He dresses in imaulate French formalwear, with a touch of military style. Gerard stands erect, almost never sits, and walks briskly, never leaning on his elaborately carved cane. He has elaborately styled, short brown hair with a touch of grey at the wings, piercing brown eyes, and a neatly trimmed mustache. His voice is high for a man's, but never whiney.
Background: It is rumored that Gerard served his apprenticeship at varrious chantries in France and England, always with an eye toward politial advancement. He is supposed to have taken part in the struggles in Paris against Sabbat and Anarchs following the second World War. From there, he openly served the Regent of the Paris chantry as an aide-de-camp and liason to the court of Francois Villon. After that, he served as regent of a small chantry in eastern France. He has taken the Istanbul post, an obviously dangerous position no one else wanted, in order to get ahead in the Pyramid ahead of schedule.
Gerrard is a known diablerist: He diablerized a member of the Sabbat in Paris. The incident was investigated, and ruled his trophy for enforcing the Blood Hunt.
Personality: Prim and proper, Gerard demands absolute decorum and absolute obedience from his underlings. While he can be personable and extremely diplomatic, he always maintains the proper relationship with whomever he is speaking. Lately, this means that he is operating from a position of power as a Regent of the Tremere, and things go more smoothly when others remember that. His underlings have begun calling him the "Tin General" behind his back, but are careful to mind the little things that make everything run more smoothly.
He occasionally clicks his heels together and raises himself slightly onto his toes while making what he believes is a telling point.
