Mr Bass is a nice looking black man. He likes nice suits and red neckties.
Behavior
Mr Bass is a humorous man, with a deep bass voice and generally kind demeanor. While very capable of violence, he will often walk away from such situations or do the minimum to control the situation. Mr Bass is not down with the new Mandorate, he has had his fill of "Bosses".
History
Mr Bass was born at the end of the 19th century. He was a poor black man growing up on the west coast making a living working on the wharf. San Francisco was as egalitarian as the United States got in those days, and while he was called a Nigger often, it wasn't with the rancor that he had seen in other places. He grew up listening to the soul music that the Negro community was creating at that time. Simon found he had a talent with drums, piano, and stringed instruments.
Simon was met Leslie Booth after spending most of his night playing with a band. Leslie loved the idea of taking a black man to her bed, especially a talented man like Simon. Within a couple of weeks she embraced him, loving his music. Being Leslie Booth, she soon tired of him and the San Francisco scene and disappeared one night in the fog, never to return. Simon missed her for a while, but loved being a vampire and living his life free from most oppression.
In the sixties Simon supported the youth fighting for Civil rights. In the 1990's he bought a club space, and called it the House of Cool. Simon matured into a vampire who doesn't start shit, but doesn't like to be messed with after all these years of being able to do his own thing with no interference.
When the New Promise Mandarinate came to San Francisco, Simon fought the invaders. Then he fought the Sabbat. Now he just works his club, plays his music, and plans for eventual removal of the fucking Chinks and Nips.
