Bog Asphodel was an original Hollower. He was killed just after celebrating the New Year in 1964 by the Nephandi who had come to kill Josepha de Espronceda who had gotten too close to the darkness. One more hit would have killed her and Bog sacrificed himself to save her. All the members of the original Hollow Ones had been drinking and all feel guilty about his death... believing that those few seconds sobering up could have meant saving him. It is a sore spot in the community to this day.
