Andrea McMasters was born in the late 60's. Her parents were young hippies, and young people themselves. The family toured the United States in a Volkswagon bus, the road and the people they met the teachers for Andrea. At 15 she broke off from her folks and took up with a nomadic group on motorcycles. In a dream circle in the Midwest Andrea Awakened. Her avatar spoke to her, and Andrea was introduced to Zinovya Octavian who became her mentor.
Andrea traveled with Zinovya for a time, learning the basics of blood magic from her. When her mom died in San Francisco Andrea went to give her final rites. Her father was heart broken and Andrea stayed with him to support him. While staying with her Dad Andrea met Sanya a member of the Cult of Ecstasy. While from different Traditions, the two had definite chemistry and quickly fell in love.
They moved in together and lived happily for the first year. In the spring Andrea found she was pregnant. While Sanya was happy, he didn't like the responsibility of being a father. His magic and lifestyle were not great for being a stable Dad. Shortly after Dietra was born Sanya picked up and moved out. Andrea once more moved in with her father.
For 19 years now Andrea has lived in San Francisco trying to heal the damage to the people and ecology around her. Dietra knows her father, he drifts in and out of their lives, sometimes showing up with money to help, sometimes just to go for walks with his daughter.
