Appearance

Carla is a really handsome woman. Her beauty is beyond human reach as she is totally perfect. She is tall (1m75) with a supermodel's weight. She's got blonde hair and blue eyes and always wears one of the many dresses Arnaud makes for her. She has no Esprit however as she tends to avoid people and doesn't like to participate to Toreador gossips. As a result, her clanmates tends to forget to send her invitations when they organize Soirées - though they'll never admit it claiming that such a wonderful painter mustn't be distracted from her Art.

Behavior

Carla is always soft spoken though she doesn't speak much at all. She moves slowly and always gracefully and she really magnifies her lover's works. Indeed, the dresses almost seem alive on her. Her words are full of vision and she rarely makes errors with her artistic judgements. The only moments when this behavior is altered are the ones she spends with her man... Indeed, the love they share seems very deep, passionate and irrational.

History

Few things are known about Carla. She's believe to have been a talented Italian painter who got Embraced by Arnaud while he was visiting Italy during the Revolution. Arnaud fell in love with her, and Villon gave his permission to Sire in thanks for all of Arnauds work.

She was presented for the first time in Paris in 1804 at a great party organized by the Prince of Paris, François Villon. She was at the side of the Grand Couturier, and some of her paintings were exposed. They were of great quality (Lazlo loved them!) and Carla was introduced and accepted into the Parisian Toreador society. Her Italian accent charmed everyone as her marvelous beauty. She wore a dress made by Arnaud himself. She spoke not much with a soft voice but all her words were filled with artistic vision. In short, she made an impressive appearance and the kindred who attended this party still remember the event.

Of course, the mystery around her raised some concerns. No one really knew where she came from and her tendency to avoid parties didn't help. But she had the support of the Prince himself and her works as her behavior confirmed her claims: she was simply a talented but tortured Artiste who happened to be the lover of the Grand Couturier. Indeed, it seems the Embrace has taken its toll on her making her tortured to the point she frequently destroys her own paintings.

Whatsoever, she didn't have much influence on the Parisian history concentrating solely on her paintings. However, she's known to have some power over the church and it is certain that she helped to the signature of the Concordat between Napoleon and Rome (this treaty allowed the Church to resume its position as France official religion, a status lost during the Revolution).

Generally speaking, she's left alone and not trifled with: not that she's seen as a serious threat by herself, but she has really powerful contacts within Paris' hierarchy.
