History: Mathias was a student in economy, and future finance shark when his good looks attracted one gaze too much in the soirées he liked to attend

The little Don Juan seduced Marie, by acting as an unlucky but talented comedian, and she was so passionately in love with him that she asked François Villon the right to Embrace him.

Villon accepted, as Marie was one of his most trusted spy in the Cour. The problem was that soon after the Embrace, realizing how much his artistic talent was important to his Sire and lover, Mathias refused to play in any theater, claiming that the experience had shocked him beyond mere words.

Marie, so sensible to this kind of emotional shock, believed him, at first, tending to his needs, and showing him to every Harpy of the Cour. But her trust started to wane with the years. Mathias feared she would finally confront him, and perhaps destroy him when the manipulation would be discovered. Marie was becoming more and more distant...

Destiny chose otherwise...

In 1994, the remains of Marie were found in her Hôtel Particulier, with her retainers, as dead as she was.

Mathias was deeply affected by the death of Marie. In fact, he understood she was a great part of his unlife. And now, she was no more... In the same time, the Parisian Toreador started to gossip about how this death was convenient, letting the poor Mathias free from his Sire's claims...

Mathias' behavior changed, then. He decided he would avenge her, and so asked Ivan the right to join the Masques. Ivan had understood the Neonate was a Poseur, a simple Beauté. But he had talent, and was accepted as apprentice. He since became a full member, still searching for his Sire's murderers...
