The way I see it, the second page for the statistics is good because it encourages people to read the first page which allows them to get to know the character thus saving the ST the time and effort of introducing the NPC. However, the one page format kind of thrusts the secrets right in your face so your going to see all those things whether you want to or not. But there really isn't an ideal setup for keeping NPC secrets except to not put them on the site and I like to put them on the site as a verification of ST honesty. If your character gets his ass beat, you can turn to the statistics page and see that the ST just ran the NPC well and the PC lost fairly. Too often, I have had ST change the capacities of NPCs because they couldn't figure out how to win a scenario on their own. Worse still, I have had my players accuse me of doctoring the NPCs, so this serves as confirmation that I would never do that.
