Nuri, called the Lord of Dark Places, or the Hidden Master, brokered the alliance in Istanbul with Marcus Musa of the Giovanni and Councilor Abertorius of the Tremere against the Assamite invasion. He is never seen on the streets of Istanbul, though whether that is because of his legendary stealth and obfuscate, or that he truly rarely visits the city above his temple is an open question. That he remains well informed is unquestionable.
Apparently, whatever he hopes to find in Khateb Zek's domain is worth the risk of exposing himself. He has become the de-facto leader of a group of renegade would-be masters who have found themselves unprepared in Deniz Şehir.
