Javor

Sobriquet: The Smiling Rake
Appearance: Javor stands about 6 feet tall, with smouldering good looks that are considered the height of masculine seduction in Eastern Europe, and extremely Balkan in the West. He is quick to smile, and can even make his eyes reflect his lips if he wants to. He wears expensive clothing that uncannily predict new fashion trends in Belgrade, though he never replaces them when they become damaged or covered in gore.
Background: Javor is the bloody dagger of the Sabbat in what is now Serbia. He works tirelessly to destroy the sect's enemies, as painfully as possible. Few have his body count, or his ability to to cause an enemy to despair, just before he twists the knife in their wound. Within the region, Javor is second only to Doktor Totentanz, and exceeds the younger Tzimisce in victories, though not in reputation. Most of what he does, however, is not strictly Black Hand business. In fact, unlike the Dominion, he is the only member of the Hand in his pack. He is the Pack Priest of the Storm Riders, a founded coven in Nis. It is whispered that the Aryan monster fears that the smiling rake is its greatest impediment to further advancement. Outsiders wonder if this struggle of personalities might be hindering the efficiency of the Black Hand in the Balkans, but no one wants to get involved in a Black Hand affair.
With the restoration of order in the Balkans, the Sabbat finds itself beset on all sides, and even threatened in its stronghold in Belgrade. While Totentanz disappears for weeks on end, probing the lines for weakness, Javor has rooted out spy after spy across Serbia, displaying an understanding of Camarilla tactics that surprises his less civilized compatriots. Of course, it is also whispered that those who annoy Javor are very likely to become heroic martyrs to the Sabbat's cause.
Of course, the Smiling Rake's primary loyalty isn't to the Sabbat at all, but rather to the Tal'Ma'Reh. As such, he has many duties: destroying diablerists, ensuring that the Sabbat remains separate from humanity, and orchestrating the death of the occasional annoying Camarilla member. However, his most important mission, from one of the Seraphim, is to watch and ensure the death of the dangerous diablerist Totentanz. He was ready to move: The perfect bait had been chosen, and he and his kamut were familiar with one another. Then a new, ambitious dominion interfered. Mariel re-assigned two of his companions and sent them to other continents, while replacing them with a well-bred neonate. Totnetanz collected the bait, and he could do nothing: To go into such a delicate battle with an unready team would have been suicide. Members of his kamut: Stefania Baboescu, Prince Benesj Cherno.
