Sobriquet: Castle
Appearance: Killian is a heavy set man with the face and ears of a bulldog. His arms are very hairy, covered in coarse reddish hair.
Behavior: Castle doesn't like people. He has a soft spot in his heart for Xavia, and there are a few select people he likes, though he still growls at them.
History: Castle and his twin brother Kian were born in 1838 in the Kentucky wilderness. Both men had a "shouting" education, which is they attended a school house where the teacher shouted instructions. He can write short, simple messages in stick print, and can cipher some.
The boys grew up side by side and were nearly inseparable. By the time of the civil war they were both excellent shots and joined the Rebel cause. Kept as scouts, they moved around the south as their command sent them. As a team they were highly successful and a dangerous pair. After the battle of Bull Run the two were headed south to meet up with General McClellan when they were approached by a vampire that had been watching them for a while. He introduced himself as Reginald, and brought with him a stag for the brothers to cook and eat.
Reginald explained about being a vampire, and offered to hire the two and pay them handsome wages to be his retainers. He also promised to keep them from aging anymore. The two talked with Reginald all night, and after he left to sleep, decided to accept his offer. Reginald made the two his ghouls and used them to set up a farm residence outside of St Louise about forty miles. Reginald kept the two for thirty years before deciding to move on without them. At that time he offered the embrace to both of them, and they accepted. The two wandered the west, eventually going back to Kentucky. There they settled outside Bowling Green.
Within just a few years Kian grew restless and wanted to wander some more. Killian was happy where he was, and for the first time in their lives, they separated. By WWII, Killian was wondering where his brother had gotten off to, and went west. Killian went north to Montana and Idaho where Kian had said he wanted to go. By 1950 he was convinced that his brother went further west, and traveled all the way to the coast. Once he hit the Pacific he began crisscrossing the coastal states looking for Kian. Killian arrived in Los Angeles in 1960, and felt like he had found traces of his brother, but not actually seen or talked to him.
One night, wandering an area west and north of Los Angeles he came across a Hispanic woman who had been raped, beaten, and left for dead. Killian felt bad for her and fed her his blood to help her heal. She told him her name was Xavia, and between being grateful for his aid and the blood coursing through her system, she was enamored of him.
