Plots: Anita's revenge has taken a full decade to bring to fruition, she has all the information, weapons, and allies she needs to destroy those lupines that destroyed her friends. All she needs now is an ideal time to strike. After the guilty lupines are dead, Anita plans to settle up her vendetta against Maureen O'Leery and then leave Chicago forever.
Secrets: Shortly before the events of "Under a Blood Red Moon", Anita was approached by Maureen O'Leery who compelled her with her eyes to kill a professor of ancient Greek literature who was digging into some very dangerous Kindred secrets. While Anita did carry out the assassination attempt, at the last second her conscience overrode Maureen's dominate. She fled the scene before verifying Annika's death and has borne the guilt of her actions ever since.
Haven: She still havens in the "Chicago Free Store." The back room is still crowded with the equipment needed to print the "Chicago Seed", a radical newpaper that she used to edit back in her activist days.

If she doesn't die in the conflagration or by lupine retribution, she will most certainly lose much of her precious humanity. Regardless, if the vengeful Tremen Hall discovers her involvement in the attack on his sister, she may not get a chance to exact her vengeance and the lupines may have to stand in line behind the cannibal doctor.
