Face of Erebus
- The Necromantic Library of Phineus -x- Level One Rituals -x- Level Two Rituals -x- Level Three Rituals -x- Level Four Rituals -x- Level Five Rituals
Description: In the ongoing mystical exploration of the nihilistic functions of the soul, the necromancer can now grant the Shadow almost complete freedom of action. The only limitation on the Shadow is that it cannot physically attack anyone. Basically, the ritual grants the Shadow complete mastery of the victim's body; often, when the dark side of a personality manifests, it possesses a completely different mode of speech, body language and mannerisms. Though the Shadow cannot do any physical harm to the people it encounters, it can take any other action it wishes, which may significantly damage to the victims' reputation or his personal relationships.
Origin: Benesj Cherno
Ingredients: A black candle made from human hair and tallow, crematorium ashes and some sulfur - a standard match will do.
Casting: The necromancer must chant an invocation in Greek to Erebus, the god of darkness and shadow calling upon him to awaken the inner darkness of the target and then snuffing the necromantic candle.
System: If successful, the rituals effects last for a number of scenes equal to the caster‘s successes. The light of day dispels the power of this ritual. If the caster fails his roll, nothing happens. If he botches the roll, then he becomes the subject of this spell.
