Description: The Trivium is a three way crossroads and it was sacred to Hekate, the Roman goddess of black magic, witches and crossroads. This ritual summons barrow-flame from the Underworld as a form of counter-magic to remove the effects of spells from people, places and items. The the effects of the spell are invisible to mundane senses, supernatural beings can sense the casting of the ritual depending on local circumstances and the degree of the caster's success.
Origin: Benesj Cherno
Ingredients: Soil taken from the site of a crossroads burial, burning or hanging.
Casting: The caster invokes Hekate the goddess of magic to remove a specific sorcery from a person place or thing by aiding him in summoning the flames of the Underworld to accomplish this task. Then he throws handfuls of earth from a massacre or catastrophe on the person, place or item to be disenchanted.
System: The player rolls Intelligence + Rituals at a difficulty of six (6). Successes are used to remove another sorcerer’s successes on another ritual or hanging magic. The relative power of the two sorcerers’ is the most significant factor in this ritual. If the sorcerer who cast the hanging magic is of a weaker level than the necromancer casting this ritual then the difference between their respective levels is subtracted from the necromancer’s difficulty. If the opposing caster is of the same level as the necromancer then the difficulty is a standard six (6). If the opposing caster is of greater skill then the difference between the necromancer and the opposing caster is added to the difficulty of this ritual. This ritual is cast as an extended action and each roll consists of a scene of time.
