Appearance
Carver John is a man of medium build. He wears older workers clothes, sturdy and worn. His face is slightly dirty, and he has an odor. He hasn't bathed in a very long time.
Behavior
Carver John is a decent man. He is respectful, and still sees himself as a common man. He still does wood work, and tries to have an honest living even though he is a vampire. He hides it from his neighbors. John is still an honest follower of the Anglican religion.
History
Carver John was born to a cooper in south Lambeth, London. John liked wood work, but didn't want to be a cooper like his dad. He apprenticed along Black Friars with a furniture maker, and became a serious wood carver. When he went out on his own, the other builders called him "Carver" John. He built a steady business, and was building a future for himself. Very close to taking a wife to start a family, John went to the High Street tavern. He only allowed himself two ales, then went out the door to go home.
A beautiful woman approached him, and made polite conversation as he was passing. He spoke to her politely, feeling flushed at her attention. The woman fell into step with him, though he tried to keep his eyes on the road. The more reserved and proper he tried to be, the more she scampered and danced beside him, teasing him for his proper church attitude. John grew up in a strict household and was apalled at the thought of talking to a strange woman in the street alone. Her presence made him flushed, and he was very attracted to her. At his door he turned her away, and told her a proper gentleman wouldn't take a woman into his house without her having a chaperone. She laughed and flounced away.
Two nights later he awoke with her in his sleeping area, kissing and touching him. He jumped out of bed, pushing her away. She stepped in close, and he found himself driven by a need to hold her and kiss her. His last memories were of her kissing his neck as she rubber her body on him. Orgasm and euphoria hit him like a wave, and he passed out.
John awoke to the first beams of morning coming into his business, burning his skin. John was able to get to a coal chute and slide into the dark of the coal area. He stayed the whole day there, rising from his coal cellar when the sun fell. He harbored a great hunger, but found he vomited if he ate food. He stumbled upon a recently slain cow and a bucket of blood from the cow. John drank the blood, and realized he was a vampire. He was horrorfied.
In the coming months he learned to cope, and continued to work wood and help his neighbors. He was attacked by street thugs more than once as he was on his way to the Meat shop near him. He fed from them, killing a few.
