Shkodër / Arrayed by Clan / Ventrue
Shkodër is a large town that warrants recognition as a city, much less as a Princedom, merely because it is the home of Jovan Valdimir. Without his presence, the Camarilla would indifferently write it off as a unoccupied, or unoccupiable city on the edge of Sabbat territory, or perhaps the domain of some jumped up princeling of the so-called "Southern Court." However, Jovan is, by all accounts, fiercely loyal to the Camarilla, and very useful to his neighbors. Indeed, he seems to relish the opportunity to test himself against the Sabbat and other threats, though he is always payed well for his not-inconsiderable services.
Rumors suggest that Jovan has ruled Shkodër since his sire left to join the first Crusade. He is rumored to be of a potent generation.
Personally, Jovan is every bit the elder Ventrue, with the bearing of an Emperor, the build of a Knight, and the manners of a diplomat. He allows no doubt that he is the power in the room, though he is magnanimous with those who acknowledge his place.
Jovan rules Shkodër with the help of two childer. The elder, Agnes of Shkodër is often seen with him, except when danger threatens. She is clearly smitten with him, and upon reflection, observant kindred can tell that he is very fond of her. His younger childe, Zamyr Hayka seems to be a new addition, embraced within a decade or so of the end of Communism in Albania. Though his name is becoming known among Jovan's neighbors, none have yet been introduced to him.
Jovan is often accompanied by an impressive array of servants and soldiers. In purely vampiric circles, his guards wear soldier's plate armor from the late medieval period, and carry a variety of ancient and modern weaponry. His servants and aides dress as appropriate, usually to impress.
Recent Events: Jovan recently met with two undercover Tremere Archons: Brüno Kunic of the Lasombra, and his partner, Randall Carley, a Tremere. The two lost a fair amount of time, and came away from the meeting hungry, and quite impressed with the elder's power and eccentricity. It has yet to be determined whether he will give them what they came for.
