Toreador -P- Paris -P- The History of the Clan of the Rose in Paris

Lazlo.jpg

Sobriquet: Lazlo

Appearance: Lazlo is a 1m75 tall man with honey-blond hair falling on his shoulders when not combed in a very 17th Century fashion. He has a delicate face, almost feminine, with but a trace of his Slavic blood; and blue eyes. His silhouette is slender, as much androgyny as his face. He is simply charming, to men and women alike.

He is known to wear dark gray suits through more colored ones, varying with the occasion. In black, he is really stunning, as if it was someone else, darker self, who was wearing the clothes...

Behavior: Lazlo always express sincere sympathy to the one he's talking to. But if the subject of the discussion is unpleasant, he is known to simply smile in a very personnal way, or to simply bow discretly and go away.

If someone attacks him by a Trait d'Esprit, he usually answers just enough to clean himself from the attack and to make the adversary think twice the next time he thinks about something so stupid as attacking the Duc of the Toreador on his own grounds.

Lazlo is also one of the few Kindred who is high enough to be able to answer by simple ignorance or contemptuous stare to some upstart too-much-rude Esprit provocation. And he likes to have some witnesses to spread the news about the naive newcomer...

History: Lazlo was Embraced in 1801 in Paris by Raphael the Corazon. He became immediately François Villon's chosen to lead the Toreador Clan as the second in command (and years after, as a Duc), the position being vacant since the departure of Alexis.

Lazlo remained Villon's apprentice for some time, and he was given full powers as a Duc when he succeeded to change the Second Republic (1848-1852) to the Second Empire by electing Louis Napoleon III (Bonaparte's nephew) Emperor (Villon is such a monarchist few things bother him more than ruling a democratic France!).

As asked by Villon, Lazlo continued to work to raise the cultural level of the France, attracting mortal and Kindred artists in Paris. His two greatest successes are the UNESCO (United Nations Aducational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation), installed in Paris, and the raising of the funds for the displacement of the Abou Simbel Ramses II and Nefertari temples which would have been under the waters of the Nasser artificial lake if the UNESCO had done nothing.

He is now managing most of the operations constituting the Projet Grand Louvre, the renovation of François Villon's palais, which is reaching its final stage even now as these lines are written.

Domain: Palais Bourbon - 7th Arrondissement

About Him: Lazlo's playground is the National Assembly where he direct the evolution of some discussion to put some important subject under scrutiny... And to make some others disappear...

He is in charge of controlling and managing the UNESCO. His power over this organisation is unmatched.

Lazlo is a melancholic man under a magnificient appearance. He feels the emptiness of his life as a physical pain. He loves serving Paris and see in Villon the only person in this city worthy of being obeyed.
