Introduction
In Greek mythology, Pasithea was one of the Charites, and the personification of relaxation, meditation, hallucinations and all other altered states of consciousness. The Charites are usually said to be the daughters of Zeus and Eurynome, but Pasithea's parentage is given by the poet Nonnus, as Hera and Dionysus. She was married to Hypnos, the god of sleep. As such, in addition to being one of the Charites, she was also at least a nominal Oneiroi (god or goddess of dreams).
Diversions of Pasithea
The borderland between wakefulness and true sleep, daydreaming is a kind of distracted restfulness that allows the mind to drift off into whatever direction most pleases the subject.
System The player rolls Manipulation + Subterfuge at variable difficulty based on the target's temporary willpower. The number of successes scored equates to the number of dice the Icelus can strip from a target's collective Perception + Alertness pool. Individuals thus affected are unlikely to detect the Icelus' use of this power, but exceptional individuals may possess enough awareness to realize they are being manipulated. This power can only affect one target at a time and the effects of this power wear off as soon as the Icelus ceases to concentrate on the target or the target passes beyond his or her range of perception.
