Glanville Briley is an old man. When and if people are concious of him at all, which is rare, their default memory of him is as a old man - no details stand out - just your average old Codger.
Whether he is drinking a pint of bitter at the corner pub, taking a constitutional along a quiet country lane, or walking the halls of academia or business he just quietly blends into the background.
