Appearance
Esmail is tall and thin for an Egyptian. His dark hair is cropped short, and he wears a mustache most of the time. Most of the time he wears his fez and loose Arabic clothing. He does wear a good oilskin coat in a concession to wet weather, though mostly to preserve what he might be carrying more than for his comfort.

Ever mindful of the proprieties, Esmail polite and deferential in his dealings with both mortals and Kindred of Western origins. His obvious and sincere desire to help his clients find what they most want and the efficiency with which he delivers the goods makes him a sought after agent in the matter of acquiring rare goods. Ahmed works hard to be a good Toreador, and has learned the lexicon of art in it's various forms. While not one who can create, he is a very good critic and is well versed in the history of various kinds of art.
History
Esmail was born in Alexandria in the 1600's. He was the son of a well to do family, with minor nobility in the blood. Esmail was raised in a good family, and with the decadence and boredom of youth became enamored by the various cults in the city. After getting some notoriety in the cult of Erishkagal, Esmail was a wanted man by the city guard for his practices. While hiding from them he stumbled upon a Settite temple in the city, and when confronted by the real power of ancient vampires, became a Follower of Set. Esmail served as a loyal ghoul for almost 200 years before being given the embrace by Haskur von Tarkus. The two traveled north out of the middle east, working to spread the religion of Set.
