Wand of Horses
Description
The Wand of Horses is a bar of cold wrought iron 68 centimeters long, 25mm in gauge and weighing 3.85 kilograms (8.5 pounds). The handle of the wand, or the mid-section is 22 centimeters long, and is hexagonal. At either end, there are crafted horse-heads, each facing in the opposite direction and each is almost 23 centimeters long. The heads of the wand are thicker than the handle and beads of jet have been inserted into the eye sockets to give them a lifelike appearance. This ceremonial item allows Ostanes to channel Vires (forces) more effectively and serves as his unique focus. It can also, in times of emergency serve as an effective club and being cold wrought iron, is aggravated damage against the Fae. Ostanes plans to have the wand inscribed and enchanted further, but has not had the time. The horse-heads are not mere artistic license, but a metaphysical reference to the ancient 'power' of horses, their sacred nature and their utility in sacrifices given up to gods and demons.
