The Rule of Three: Historically, Sofia was born of the Thracian tribes and grew into a city under the dominion of the Roman Empire, but it reached its crowning glory under the sophisticated leadership of Constantinople. Like her foster parent - Constantinople, Sofia is has grown up with the 'Rule of Three'. Great and horrible events alike in the city are hearlded by this number in its manifold permutations; why this is so, is a mystery as ancient as the city itself and eludes even the most wise. Those of the Children of Caine who have chosen to make the city their home or who have been trapped by fate as prisoners in the City of Wisdom, have all come in one fashion or another to understand that their destinies and that of Sofia herself are inextricably intertwined with with the 'Rule of Three'. The wisest of the wise and the most successful, plan according to this mystical formula and achieve their goals through its permutations.
