The Crawling on the Back of Your Neck
Description: This ritual invokes an uneasy sense of dread in the target for a short period of time.
System: The caster must light a candle made of beezwax and myrrh, and burn a small body relic (hair or a fingernail are ideal, but a bit of cloth soaked in the victim's blood will suffice), along with a small live spider. The sorcerer then intones the victim's name, and blows out the candle. The smoke carries feelings of dread to the target, who may roll willpower at difficulty 6 to resist the effect. If the caster achieves more total successes than the target, the ritual invokes a feeling of uneasy dread, and the victim looses one die from all dice pools for the remainder of the scene. If the caster intones the victim's True Name, he or she may not attempt to resist. On a botch, the caster is affected instead, and may not resist.
