Temporal Attunement
Origin: Numerius, with inspiration from the Abyss Mystic, Father Kakios Pachis.
This powerful ritual attunes the caster to the flow of time, easing the Chronomancer's use of time-based powers, including Chronomancy, and the Temporis Discipline. It is similar to, and inspired by the level 3 Abyss Mysticism ritual Drinking the Blood of Ahriman, but is broader in scope, half as effective, two levels higher, and has a much smaller side effect.
System: Casting Temporal Attunement requires surprisingly little in the way of paraphernalia. He need only meditate on the sight or sound of a timepiece (the trickle of a water clock, the flame of an hour-candle, the rasp of sand in an hourglass, the tick or a watch, or even the digital readout of an atomic clock) for the standard 25 minutes, and succeed in a Stamina + Meditation roll at difficulty 7. In the meditative trance, he becomes increasingly aware of the inaccuracies in the device, and the perfection of the flow of real time. If the ritual roll is successful, the caster's attunement to the flow of time reduces the difficulty of all time-related magic and powers (Temporis and Chronomantic magics) by one for one day per success.
This attunement to time makes the caster less able to deal with the imprecision of real life, and less aware of the emotional currents of those around him. As a game mechanic, it reduces the Chronomancer's die pool for all attempts to manipulate emotion, including use of Presence, by one.
