The style in this one is really starting to come out and I totally feel you on the Spanish Fly, but its a level one and you are trying too hard. Your background description tells me a lot, rather than all the gory stuff (its not necromancy after all), you could and probably should focus on the serpent. Serpent handling is a powerful and ancient rite in itself that legend says conveys all sorts of powers on the handler. In Carnivàle, Ruthie says that nothing makes a man more excited that watching a woman handle a serpent.
