Ok, here is my confusion with this character. Juanna is initially a cop in Denver. When Tremen finally loses it, she becomes Catherine Marie Hall's legal guardian, and a surrogate mother that the girl adores. Then when her adopted daughter decides to go into law enforcement as well, she skips town for Miami? Why Miami? So what is so fabulous and is waiting in Miami to draw Juanna? She was raised in New Mexico and even took her adopted daughter there for vacations. So if she left Denver, wouldn't she go where she has people and history? Equally, why would she leave Denver in the first place? She has a good job, knows people and her way about and has family in the form of Catherine who is a rising star in local law enforcement. That means she not only has an ally in the justice system, her ally is technically more powerful and loves her. I guess I am not seeing why she would even think about leaving Denver. I will tell you honestly, I don't know why she wound up in Miami...you did that to the best of my knowledge, or we did it in error at some point transcribing notes. I was trying to fill in details without erasing what the Magister had put down. Sounds like an error, we can fix it and leave her in Denver, no problem. Keith, 7:13 PM, 2 November 2015 (MST)

I think there has been a misunderstanding, probably due to the manner in which I posited the questions rather than the questions themselves. I don't think there is anything wrong with the way the second wife was painted except, I was confounded by her decision to leave Denver. And here is why, from my point of view, the main point of her leaving seems to be the negative attention she would receive from being recognized as the wife of a mass-murderer, however in my real-life experiences of people who have known a murderer the overwhelming response is sympathy. This isn't to say that there aren't gore-hounds out there that would make her uncomfortable (copy-cat killers, teen nihilists, mental patients, etc). But who in their right mind would hold her responsible for the actions of such a dangerous lunatic who had clearly lost his mind long before she became involved with him? That said, I can see moving to a new place to escape unpleasant memories. But would Juanna really leave Denver with Catherine so close and in need of her more than ever? After all, assistant DAs and DAs are regular targets for scumbags with a real or imagined beef.
