Introduction
Ilse Reinegger was an influential Ventrue who ruled Upper Saxonia during her prime years, until she met Final Death by Amaranth at the fangs of her childe.
Biography
The important dates of her life and unlife are largely unknown, but it is known that she Embraced Gustav Breidenstein while she held Domain in Belitz. In 1244, Gustav and Ilse moved to Berlin after the apparent destruction of her own sire, and former ruler of those lands, the methuselah Erik Eigermann.
Soon it became apparent she was a more ingenious ruler than Erik ever was. She establishes an early version of the Masquerade long before Rafael de Corazon's rousing speech in the early nights of the Camarilla. However, some years later her rule was abbreviated when Ilse was betrayed and diablerized by her childe Gustav, who became the iron ruler of Berlin.

Game Notes
Bolverk met Ilse in Augsburg - medieval in Autumn of 1094 A.D. The duchy of Bavaria had exploded into civil war due in part to the machinations of Helena and Meneleus. After Meneleus lost control and ravaged the embattled town of Augsburg, Bolverk encountered a beautiful young woman battling a pair of enemy soldiers intent on despoiling her virtue as they used to say. She acquitted herself well be defeating both of her attackers. That night they established a bond of sorts and Bolverk went south to Italy in the company of Marconius the Kiasyd. Erik arrived too late to catch up with his new childe, Bolverk, but discovered from his spies that the girl had made an impression. So he took her south through the Brennan Pass into Italy in the late Autumn (a difficult journey for a mortal), but she has proven herself several times to both Bolverk and Erik. Most recently, after the battle of Canossa Castle, she proved herself again by meeting with and convincing the aging Countess Matilda to surrender to the Warlork Bolverk and his army. For her success and daring, Erik made her his ghoul and has plans for himself or Bolverk to Embrace her in the future.
