Summon the Familia
Description: This ritual summons a familiar for the caster. This is a very low level demon. It is not necessarily friendly to begin with, though through a successful binding ritual it could be. After the binding the demon takes the form preferred by the caster, cat, owl, snake, small dog, etc. A familiar successfully bargained with can communicate telepathically with the caster. Magic that is touch in effect can be transferred from the familiar as if the caster was touching. Having a familiar will reduce the difficulty of summoning, binding, warding spells by 1.
Cost & Duration: This ritual costs the death of at least a chicken, and the caster must spend a willpower. The caster will chant a call to the familiar, with the need to collect 5 successes before the familiar is summoned. The familiar arrives nearby when five successes are achieved. A smart caster will have wards prepared to defend him or herself from the familiar until the bargain can be struck.
System: The caster rolls (Charisma + Occult) difficulty 7 to achieve the summoning. A botched roll will summon a Verbek, a bestial extra planar creature enraged at being pulled onto the prime plane. Verbek have no intelligence to bargain with, they are simply a creature of the Void, determined to return all things to Oblivion. Once the caster or Verbek is dead the Verbek will vanish.
