Sully Branagan is a hooligan who has grown up on the streets of Hell's Kitchen. He has heard the Stories of the old gangs, and he is drawn to their way of life, and their self-imposed authority. His father died in the World War,leaving Sully's mother to struggle in a garment factory to support herself and her two children. Resentment of his lot in life has pushed Sully down a road of crime.
