Saviarre
Sobriquet:
Appearance: Saviarre is a woman of no great height, but of great charisma and beauty. Long brown hair frame her somewhat round face, and expressive brown eyes study her surroundings. She was wearing the prettiest gowns, enhancing her lithe silhouette. But now, she is a dischiveled woman, with dirty face and hair, wearing the torn and ruined leather armor she wore when she fought Theti-Sheri five centuries ago. Her eyes are now green with vertical slits, like those of a serpent, and her tongue is serpent-like too.
Behavior: Controlled and quiet, she had the bearing of a queen. Always smiling, but when someone really displeased her, she had a way of smiling, full of contempt and disgust, that, combined with her Presence, made her the true Queen of France.
Now, her serpent-like instincts control her.
History: Saviarre was embraced in the 7th century by one of the ancestors of her family, the Ventrue Alexandre.
She followed him into France in the 9th Century, along with the court of followers, including a Setite named Theti-Sheri. They discover there the remaining of a roman Bloodline who wanted to establish a Republic in France. Cassius had failed to keep the control of France, and accepted to surrender his hollow title to Alexandre.
While Alexandre took the power in France through the Capetian, Saviarre was a beautiful queen without real power. She rarely talked, and never decided anything.
Still, she was learning fast, and her jealousy started to grow when the Setite turned her twisted interests to her husband. Alexandre came one night with a great smile. They had been having troubles with the Lupines, and Theti-Sheri claimed to know an ancient Egyptian magic to weaken them. Thaumaturgy was mysterious by this time, and the ambition of Alexandre knew no bounds when he was promised he would be taught this mysterious Hekau Thaumaturgy. Theti-Sheri received the right to Embrace Childer, to extend her influence etc..
The jealousy of Saviarre was soon replaced by uneasiness: She was Alexandre's Childe, and so he could well destroy her if she became too much a thorn, so she closed her eyes to the relation of Alexandre and Theti-Sheri, which was becoming known by all the Kindred. She also said nothing when she saw the first slips in her husband's reason.
At first frightened, she started to negate some minor decisions in the name of her husband. Soon, the other Kindred discovered her choices were much more wise than her husband's, and they accepted her decision while officially claiming serving Alexandre after he ordered the destruction of numbers of Kindred suspected of trying to destroy him. It was revealed Alexandre had ordered the destruction of most of the Toreador, and now the Ventrue were afraid ofbthe reaction of the Clan of the Rose. They would easily find allies among the other Clans, bothered by Alexandre's descent into madness.
But the Anarch Wars' spread destruction in France. Alexandre's decision to ignore them was too much for Saviarre, who went with her loyal ghouls to Theti-Sheri's haven.
This decision saved her life (at least, from the hand of the Anarchs!) as Alexandre's haven was taken by Anarchs, and the Methuselah destroyed by the hand of a young Toreador named François Villon.
But, not far from Alexandre's haven, Theti-Sheri and Saviarre were fighting each other in the middle of their Childer and their Ghouls. Saviarre would have won if Theti-Sheri hadn't succeeded in using a foul Serpentis power, which changed the Ventrue into a great serpent, who turned against her former allies.
Saviarre eventually recovered her physical form, but much to the delight of Theti-Sheri, retained a serpent mind. Blood Bonded to the Sethite, she is now kept within the Temple of Set in Paris, where Theti-Sheri delights into tormenting it while in the same time strengthening the Bond.
