Level 1.
Description: This ritual is a minor aid to aspiring sorcerous apprentices who need a helping hand in the performance of ritual magic. It provides a small mystical boost to the caster and relies on the 'Principle of Sacrifice' to enhance the very next ritual which is cast. Its requirements are obvious, the sacrifice of something of minor, but of immediate value to the caster.

Origin: Morgan Erlich - during his first years in the Montreal Sabbat - 1st Iteration.

Ingredients: The sacrifice need not be large in terms of purchase price or physical cost, but it must have some sentimental value or the ritual just fails.

Casting: The thaumaturge must recite a lament about the lose of the sacrificial item in medieval Latin, while pouring out a perfect circle of salt. The item to be sacrificed is placed inside the circle of salt, while the caster is still chanting and destroyed by the most likely means.

System: The player rolls Intelligence + Rituals at a difficulty of five (5) or four (4) for an in-clan caster. One success is all that is necessary, multiple successes make no further difference. If the ritual is botched, the caster must drop a die from his casting pool for rituals for the next twenty-four hours. If he fails, then he wasted time and destroyed something small that he liked, but that is all. He can however cast again with a mind to succeed, but at an automatic increase in difficulty. If he should succeed, then he receives one automatic success on his next ritual that night, without the expenditure of willpower, though he may still do that as well. If the entire night should pass without the casting of another ritual, dawn's light brings this magical bonus to an end and the caster gains no further benefit. This ritual can be cast multiple times in a night, but only successively; castings do not stack and one casting must end, before another can be activated.
Note: Currently, Morgan is the only one who possesses this ritual.
