Ethics of Carna
- - First is the use of the mask and paint to hide our true self. It is not possible to teach hard truths if all know where it comes from.
- - At the basis of our work to improve the world is our engaging in trade. A person bargaining for what they think is a good deal will not always understand the binding contract.
- - The Children of Man are symbiotic to the building of an ordered world. It is necessary for the Cult of Carna to protect them at every turn, so they multiply and bring peace.
- - The Cult of Carna is a twisting dance. Never is the straightest path direct. One's motives should be hidden, so others don't see the implications of our deals.
- - Debt is the burden placed on us to enforce our acceptance. A Follower of Carna should be striving to be debt free, so as to remain a free agent in the Night.
- - A dead person can not be guided to take up the Mask. Even Namrael understood that the taking of life ends our ability to create a better future.
- - The foolish and wicked are like sand in the shoes of life. Painful and destructive, leaving our communities at risk from the depredations of the Night. Carnites should plot to bind the foolish and wicked to deals they can never escape, freeing the community to a better future.
- - Through trade to we bind the foolish and the wicked. Gifts taken put us in debt, gifts given provide no ties. Only gifts given as bait are acceptable, sometimes a big fish needs a little taste.
- - The Children of Man are the wonders of the Gods and should be protected from the Night. Men are the basis of order in the Universe, protect them where you can.
- - The Foolish and the Wicked are meant to be bound into the Circle of Carna. Allowing them to escape her grasp is a sin, as only through her can our communities remain strong.
