Rites
Description: Kuei-jin are not limited to the power of their Disciplines alone. Some Cathayans can also tap into local streams of Chi through potent ceremonies called rites. The Rites Background quantifies how many levels of rites a character knows at the beginning of the chronicle; a character can know many small rites or one big rite. A character must have a Rituals Knowledge equal to or greater than the level of any rite purchased, and no beginning character should know a Level Four or Level Five rite.
