Python
Sobriquet: Typhon, Dragon, Last son of Gaia
Quote: "Hssssk. Why..are..you..mewling in..the..darknesssss..Ostanessss? Come, look..out..through..my..eyessss. I...will..show..you..what..is..hidden..in..the..shadowsssss"
Appearance: Python appears as both a very large mostly rotted snake carcass, or that of a humongous snake skeleton the size of a house. His eyes are a flickering yellow, beaming with the warmth of knowledge, burning with eternal truth. Python is an ancient elemental being, and can over time appear as any of the snake analogies known to man...
Behavior: Python is enigmatic and condescending. His is the bearing of an ancient monarch deigning to train a squire. At times Python seems kind and comforting, but others a grueling taskmaster, unwilling to allow his charge to rest. Python was the father of monsters in the ancient world...he knows what it takes to raise conquerors.
History: Python was used by Hera to punish Leto for laying with Zeus. Python pursued Leto across the earth keeping her from birthing the twins wherever the sun shone. When Apollo reached manhood he hunted Python under Mount Parnassus and slew him. Apollo imprisoned the Dragon with arrows as long as spears and left him to rot in the darkness.
