Preparing the Vessel for Transference
Level 3 Thaumaturgy, based on purely Hermetic principles.
This ritual is designed to replace any attempt to mystically remove vitae from the caster with blood from a specially prepared vessel. It will not work if blood is physically taken from the caster (I.E. by means of a syringe, sweat, or any similar methods). It is primarily designed fool Theft of Vitae (Path of Blood 4) or Engaging the Vessel of Transference (Thaumaturgy 1 ritual). It uses aspects of Theft of Vitae, Engaging the Vessel of Transference, and Sanguineous Phial (level 1).
System: The caster prepares a special container made of pure silver. This vessel may be partitioned internally with individual chambers to separately preserve individual blood points. It may contain as many chambers as the maker desires, but can only prepare one blood point per success the caster achieves on the ritual roll for transference. The vessel must be etched with mystical runes covering every surface that enforce the principle that all points in space are one.
In casting, the thaumaturge must paint over each rune with one point of vitae from the intended subject to be protected by the ritual. He then recites a ritual mantra, and spends a point of willpower to empower the vessel, and rolls normally. The last step is to seal the vessel, which cannot then be opened without breaking the ritual.
All blood, mortal or vampiric, is preserved in the vessel indefinitely. It is drawn from the vessel in a specific order determined by the caster at the time of casting. If, such as in the case of Engaging the Vessel of Transference, the vitae is replaced, it appears in the vessel normally, though this does use one "charge" from the ritual.
