Lida Jaraslawa Tzimisce 6, embraced circa 900 AD by Zalmoxis of Kogaionon
Lida is the last childe of Zalmoxis of Kogaionon, whom she knew as Svarog, the Burning One. She was embraced less than a century before the Methuselah's destruction at the hands of the Tremere. Her relationship with her sibling Svarozic is strained, as the latter believes that their sire's dalliance with Lida caused him to ignore Svarozic's prophetic warnings about the danger the Tremere posed. Though she angrily denies that she had anything to do with Zalmoxis' death, the persistent worm of guilt has slowly been growing within her for centuries. To alleviate this guilt, she has dedicated herself secretly to the cause of the Old Clan, even exposing herself to personal risk that might be considered unnecessary. As another legacy of Svarozic, she wonders if the old goat might be justified in his prejudice against female progeny – she has certainly been more successful with her own male progeny, particularly Dajbog of Vidin.
As a sire, she has occasionally bucked the Old Clan trend of demanding that her childer stand on their own feet. She kept Dajbog close to her for close to two centuries before allowing him the freedom to make his own way. She is also much less likely to enforce a blood bond, preferring other ways to ensure the loyalty of her progeny.
Her domain is unknown, though she is most likely to be found in southeastern Romania. It is guessed that she claims an ancestral domain somewhere within the Romanian regions of Banat or Otenia.
Appearance: Lida is a lush Mother figure, seemingly in her 30's or early 40's. She possesses a poise and grace that puts most younger women to shame. Her features are delicate, though distinctly Slavic, and her black hair and dark eyes seem drawn from fantasy art. She is most often encountered wearing medieval Byzantine fashion, including layers of elaborately woven silk robes.
Personality: Lida is usually utterly polite and charming, until her prerogatives are challenged. Then she becomes viciously direct and uncompromisingly honest. Dajbog once commented that if she cared, she could solve the Middle East's various conflicts just by dragging the leaders into the same room and forcing them to talk to one another for a night.
Childer: Dajbog, Viovode of Vidin, and Baron Yasen dela Sulita Dimir. She is rumored to have embraced several more times through the centuries, but little is said of them if they are still undead.
