Graven Stimuli
Description: The caster creates a sympathetic link between a target and a corpse made to resemble the intended victim that conveys sensations from one to the other. The target will begin to feel what the corpse feels or at least what the corpse would feel if it could feel; essentially, this ritual is a sending that directly affects the five normal senses. Note, that the sending will hold the taint of death and that the target will automatically sense and understand this fact and act appropriately for her nature. In no way, can this ritual cause anything but phantom sensory experiences. This ritual is unsettling and a clever necromancer could use it for a number of purposes limited only by his imagination.
Origin: Benesj the Black
Ingredients: Bell / Candle / Corpse / Incense / Wine
Casting: To cast the ritual the necromancer invokes the subject’s known name five times, while alternately stimulating one of the senses.
System: Intelligence + Rituals = difficulty (5). This ritual requires ten (10) minutes to cast and each success equates to five (5) cumulative minutes of sensory stimulus; the caster can end of the ritual at will or it expires after its duration. If the necromancer only wishes to affect individual senses then a complete corpse is unnecessary and individual body parts can be used more conveniently; regardless, an intact head and face are necessary for the principle of sympathy. Strangely, this ritual will convey sensations to those without the facility to perceive them, such as a blind man being able to see, because it is the corpse’s sensory abilities being passed on to the subject.
Reference: There are too many references to mention, this ritual is based on the classic principles of necromantic sendings.
