Fire's Weal
Description: This ritual allows the user (or whomever they cast the ritual upon) to resist natural flames, and provide at least some protection against even magical flames. The caster uses charcoal to make glyphs for water over fire on the hands, feet and head of the person protected. The caster should make the marks while telling the spirit of fire that it has no home there. The caster last of all puts a small bit of ash mixed with water under the tongue of the person being protected.
Cost & Duration: This ritual costs 1 willpower to activate and lasts for one scene after activation.
System: Roll (Manipulation + Occult) against a difficulty of 7. If the caster scores 2 or more successes, then the character can soak fire damage as if it were bashing damage. Every success above the second success lowers the difficulty of the soak roll against fire (example: if 5 successes are scored, then the recipient would be able to soak fire damage as bashing, with a -3 modifier on the soak difficulty).
