Introduction
The Fenian are a minor order of celtic sorcerers.
Background
The Fenian claim to have an unbroken lineage that stretches back to theTuatha de Dannan. Originally, they wandered around the celtic islands, trafficking with the fae and defending their people against Fomori. Their abilities stretched as much from linear magic as it did from their faerie blood, allowing them to transform into animals, see chimerical reality, act as great bards, and fight with extraordinary strength.
The modern Fenian preserved their lineage with potent geasa, inviting terrible curses on those that diluted their blood. Only less than thirty family members have the gift of sorcery, making the Fenian tradition as much a family secret as a sorcerous society. Protected through pacts with the fae, theFianna werewolves and the ghosts of their ancestors, the Fenian managed to survive the centuries. They are always threatened by Fomori, who can sense their lineage and attack them instinctively with a murderous frenzy.
In the Final Nights, however, their fortune seems to have run out. The numbers of the family continue to dwindle, with nearly no new members inheriting the gift.
