Father Kliment
- Nosferatu -x- Sofia-Grad
Description: Apparent age – ancient (100+ years). Father Kliment is 1.8 meters tall and weights no more than 68 kilos. His skin is pale and translucent, revealing the dark blue veins and the atrophied musculature of his skeletal body. His face is a mask of skin pulled taut over his skull; his hair and beard are as yellow as his teeth should be, if he had any. He smell is that of elderly, unwashed flesh left to sour and reminds one most of rancid cheese. For vampires, the worst thing about him seems to be his blindness, for he suffers debilitating cataracts and gets around with a black iron cane.
Personality: If one can get past these eccentricities, then Father Kliment is the very spirit of the elderly and could easily be mistaken for a down on his luck Father Time. Despite appearances, he is quite alert and aware of his surroundings; he is very well educated in a number of classical matters including the history of the Nosferatu and the City of Sofia. In spite of his infirmity, Father Kliment can often be found in the worst parts of the city, handing out food and medicine to the less fortunate of Seth’s children. His customary black habit marks him as a senior monk of the Eastern Orthodox Church; his reputation as an elderly mendicant is well known to the beggars and clergy of Sofia, for he is known as the ‘Saint of the Blind’.
Notes: He is Emil’s second oldest childe, confidant and confessor; his presence seems to sooth the old sewer rat’s cold cynicism and calms his savage rage. Those to whom he is close, refer to him as ‘Sabas’ which means ‘old man’. He resides with his sire’s brood in Sredets.
