Ezra Winthrop
- Followers of Set -x Fire Court -x- Ipswich -x- Nathaniel Winthrop
Sobriquet: Akar (in ancient Egyptian it means either: the victorious, the viper or the killer), but only to his fellow Followers of Set among the Fire Court.
Appearance: Ezra is 6 foot, 3 inches tall with a big boned frame and dark hair starting to go gray. His broad face is heavily lined from a life of excess and wind burned by years spent in the Egyptian desert. He has a strong aquiline nose and dark brooding eyes set deep in sockets shaded by kohl and framed by thick eyebrows. Ezra wears the latest in southern European fashions, save for a crimson tarboosh with a golden tassel worn upon his head. He never seems to smile and there is an air of brooding sadness that surrounds him. Despite this Ezra never fails to attract and keep the company of a wide variety of faithful companions.
Behavior: Ezra has the capacity to communicate his intent with little more than a glance and a subtle gesture. He possesses a brooding magnetism that infects allies and enemies alike, who are left with an inexplicable feeling of grudging affection that defies all logic. Ezra's deep husky voice resonates in an almost hypnotic fashion and his eloquent speeches have ended street battles and swayed the judgments of wise men and fools alike. The only herald of his arrival is a belated sense of not being fully alone, once noticed his actions and motives inevitably point towards some insidious end and its only after he has once again vanished into the night that it become apparent that his true goal was something altogether different, by which time it is far too late to stop him.
History: Ezra Winthrop was born in 1872, the second son and youngest child of the dowager daughter the Massachusetts branch of the Winthrop family.
