Eubayd al-Ghul
Inspiration
Of how I met the ghūl swooping down on the desert bare and flat as a sheet.
I said to her, “We are both worn with exhaustion, brothers of travel, so leave my place to me!
She sprang at me, then my hand raised against her a polished Yemeni blade.
Then undismayed I struck her: she fell flat prostrated on her two hands and on her throatlatch.
She said, “Strike again!” I replied to her, “Calm down, mind your place! For I am indeed stout-hearted.”
I lay upon her [through the night] that in the morning I might see what had come to me.
Behold! Two eyes set in a hideous head, like the head of a split-tongued cat.
Legs like a deformed foetus, the back of a dog, clothes of haircloth or worn-out skins!

Culture
Resurrection
Eubayd al-Ghul are mainly Arabic in culture, with an increasing number of Islamic Al-Ghul.
Abattoir Banes
Eubayd al-Ghul are very susceptible to salt and holy water. The knowledgeable in north Africa know to scatter lines of salt to keep out the Eubayd al-Ghul. They are also burned by silver, and a bible or Koran blessed by a true priest, placed on the chest of a Eubayd -al-ghul will hold them in place. Eubayd al-Ghul are kept at a distance by devout prayer.
Organization
The Tyrant Master
Romulus Hulderic is the last Tyrant Master of Alexandria. His plague is so strong that he could not be killed without being directly exposed to the sun, and only the noon sun would completely destroy his bones.
A Crush of Thralls
Eubayd al-Ghul Tyrants (Romulus) are very virulent. Most of their bites will change the living within 24 hours. Within 6 hours the victim begins to show contagion, and become irrational. While not contagious until 72 hours have passed, thralls have a base virulence of 3 when created by Romulus.
Fever-Slave Chattel
The slaver from a thrall will induce a high fever in humans. They are then the slave chattel of the Tyrant master, prone to get driving impulses to attack or kill those they are in contact with. Fever-slave chattel are not contagious per se. If they die and change without proper cleansing they will rise as thralls
Mortal Minions
At the bidding of the Tyrant the fever-slaves will begin hiring mortal minions to perform the bidding of the Tyrant master
