Emmerich Wazo
Sobriquet: Guildmaster
Appearance: Emmerich is tan from years of hawking for the Coin-changer's guild. His shrewd face is handsome with dark blue eyes that are alive with intelligence. He is of medium height, standing about five feet tall. He has a thin, lean build without much muscle. Emmerich wears finely woven linens heavy with embroidery and a few tasteful pieces of jewelry, including his wedding ring. He wears a cloak of heavy black velvet when he makes his rounds as guildmaster.
Behavior: Emmerich is a very good judge of character and sizes up his customers from a distance. He uses his keen observations to press for equitable bargains and repeat business. On the surface, he is simply the guildmaster of coin-changing, but he also serves as the local interlocutor of the Craftmasons. In this capacity he can keep track of the financial dealings of all important entities in Augsburg and by extension, Bavaria. His cabal works very subtly to thwart the goals and ambitions of both the local lords and the imperial authorities. As a craftmason, it is Emmerich's responsibility to ensure the protection of the common people, a task to which he feels woefully inadequate. Especially of late, as the fractured politics of the landed houses erupts into bloody warfare. However, Emmerich is no one's fool, he sees the hand of the Night-folk in the current crisis and desperately seeks for allies of his own who can dispatch these monsters who would prey upon the sins of the unjust elite.
