Duke
Background
An Austrian soldier, the man who would become the vampire only known as Duke met and befriended Edward Williams during the last one's years of travelling through Europe. Duke rose to the rank of Colonel in the Austrian Guard. Eventually, Williams decided to preserve his friendship forever, embracing Duke and taking him along on his voyages. In the early 20th century, sick of Europe's wars and battles, Edward chose to seek peace in the city of Denver. Duke followed, and, while Edward Williams rose to the place of Prince of Denver, he became his right-arm and main agent. Together with the elder Don Alonzo de Vargas, Duke and Prince Edward form the Council of Denver, the triad of vampire rulers of the city (which, due to Duke's fidelity to his Sire, always tends to favor Prince Edward's rules).
Although he has a basic knowledge of how to play the piano, and shares with Edward a true love for music, Duke lacks any real talent or musical skills. That makes him feel uneasy among other Toreador vampires, with the exception of his Sire.
