Session 1
Starting date: May 28 2012.
Temporal Aftermath: Bruce and Morgan return from the past.
Things have remained reasonably quiet in Gabrovo during the half-month they were comatose. The spirit of Morgan's host, Zoe, apparently woke up in his body, and went on a killing spree over the course of eight nights or so. Morgan and Bruce quickly left the area and returned home, hoping that Greece's near civil war will cover the Masquerade. Whether this tactic is successful has yet to be determined.
Benesj summons Kamiko to Gabrovo using his leverage as her Necromantic mentor. He breaks the news to her that Morgan is alive and masquerading as the Gangrel Savio. Fireworks ensue. Benesj begins the business of checking with his contacts and rebuilding his own security force. After a few false starts, he calls on the interest from his boon from the Settite Chevasto to find competent people.
When Kamiko returns to Sofia, Benesj and Savio venture to the ruins of the Roman fort at Gradishte. They find an old statue of Darzalus carved from the fossilized femur of a mammoth. It is clearly not the one Benesj made from human Bone. The counterfeit bears a faint psychic impression of frustration and loss.
Milan contacts his sire Svarozic, and the pair learn that the Nosferatu Hypatios the Thief had more than one childe before his death in the mid 19th century, including one known as Aristedes. Putting 2 and 2 together, Milan contacts the Aristedes he knew in the past using Call to Identity, and confirms that the now elder Nosferatu has the item. Aristedes demands many things for debts, past and present, including the death of his sire's killer, a Gangrel known as "The Tatar," known to be a childe of Arnaulf. Benesj contacts Aristedes, and fails to resolve the situation. Aristedes insists that the pair return to "where it all started."
In the meantime, Kamiko receives a disturbing message: A note taped to her haven door during the day that says "Tell your friend in Gabrovo, the connection has it." Understandably freaked out, she returns to Gabrovo and remains for three nights while her friends pack up her haven. Her best guess as to the message's meaning is that "The Connection" was a cold-war era boogyman who controlled smuggling through south-eastern Europe, and could get anything across the iron curtain for anyone... for the right price. Since the fall of communism, however, "The Connection" hasn't been heard from.
Session 2:
Starting date: June 5, 2012.
Benesj contacts his Kamut asking for backup before he faces Aristedes in person. After a fair amount of back-and-forth, he secures the assistance of Javor, who agrees to bring Stefania along.
In the mean time, the national police catch a semi-trailer full of low-grade heroin bound for Western Europe in down-town Gabrovo. The driver insists that his instructions were to go to the Volos Building if anything went wrong. Around midnight, the leader of the gang breaks under interrogation and gives up a Turkish smuggling ring, and exonerates the owners of the Volos Building. Benesj engages the services of Francisco Medallin to assassinate the entire ring.
Milan's security identifies a suspicious car that slowly drove by his haven three times one day. The car turns out to have been stolen, and subsequently vanished from a rural police impound lot. Two teenagers are arrested for the theft in the Smolyan province. The two cannot stop antagonizing the police, and by the time they are transferred to Gabrovo, one has been beaten into a coma and the other has suffered broken bones and a severe laceration on his tongue. Milan elects to begin moving his haven. Both characters begin sweeping their retinues for moles. Several unsavory practices are uncovered, but no moles. Milan's head of security, Pavel, expresses his anger and distrust of Benesj.
