History: Charley died of a broken heart and a broken whiskey bottle that she thrust into her own neck in 1926. The reason for her suicide was the loss of her only child by the beloved husband that the Great War had taken from her, the boy was named Damien and he was just seven years old when he disappeared during the summer of 1921, while running ahead of his mother to the local ice-cream parlor. His disappearance sparked public outrage and drove the Quebecois police to great lengths to recover the boy or at least resolve what had become of him, no matter how grisly. Despite the heroic efforts of the local police and countless volunteers, the boy was never found, nor was any trace of him left behind save for a single ivory button found by his mother and discovered in her cold dead hand after her suicide.
