Blackthorn

Sobriquet: Basil
Appearance: Blackthorn is a man of medium height, almost unremarkable. He had brown hair tied into a ponytail, cruel blue eyes and a sneering smile that never disappear, even when in pain. He wears common, cowboy/goth-inspired clothes, that is jeans, boots, large silver buckle on his belt, a black leather jacket and silver jewelery.
Behavior: Blackthorn knows his work very well. Being a Paladin and protecting his fellow Sabbat from enemies is just the same as protecting the people from indians. Just now, he changed --permanently-- side to become one of the Undead. While he doesn't revel in the torture of mortals, he see them as animals with to much power for their own good. As such, he treat them poorly, without turning his back to them.
His relation with the Sabbat is simple: Sabbat is Freedom, and as a Paladin, he protects the Freedom of the Sabbat.
History: Blackthorn was born James McDougal, in Philadelphia. The years after the Secession War were promising, and America's richness seeemed limitless. James McDougal dreamed about the Far West, were evil indians killed men and raped women, and where the white men would one day conquer from the godless murderers. As soon as possible, he moved to the west, and soon became Sheriff of a little city.
What James McDougal didn't realize is that the city was Sabbat infested, preparing to war against the local Lupines. All he saw were white men corpses killed by claw and teeth. When the Lupine came for the kill, the Sabbat Embraced en masse the whole city, and sent the mortals against the indians and their Lupine protectors.
James McDougal was among them, and he survived the massacre. When the dust settled, the Lupines were defeated, and James was approached by the ones who had fought side to side with him. this was enough, they said, to prove is value to the Sabbat, and he received the Creation Rites.
He took the name Blackthorn because early in his carrier, he joined a Nomadic Pack and hunted Lupines and Camarilla Vampires, and the Lupines even sent Packs of raging Wendigo to hunt the Black Thorne.
Since then, Blackthorn settled in various Sabbat cities, becoming effectively Paladin, protecting the Bishops or Archbishop of a given city. He even participed into wars, just for the fun of it, as he rarely joined to War Parties, believing it to be more honorable to fight one-to-one.
Lately, Blackthorn was called by the Regent of the Sabbat for a very special mission indeed: This time, the Elder wasn't hunted, but was manipulating a whole pack. This would be hunt indeed, and the prospect of destroying an Elder preventing Sabbat from enjoying their freedom appealed to him.
He became, then, a member of the True Holy Avengers Pack.
