Zlatco Paisi, Regent of the Second Circle

Background: Zlatco was the first regent the Tremere sent to reestablish themselves in Sofia after the fall of the Iron curtain. He was secretive and directly acquisitive, traits that did not endear him to the court. The last years of his life saw him loose ground in Sofia, as the then prince, Emil na Pes, allowed Tzimice into the city, then forced him to move the chantry from Traditsa to the less desirable Kremikovtsi for the crime of concealing his subordinates in the city.

Against his better judgment, he was forced by the clan hierarchy to accept a deal with a group of newcomers to the city - the very Tzimisce he had tried to have killed, along with their associates - to attempt to capture or kill the Sabbat criminal Dylan Bruce. He was seemingly killed in the struggle - he and his apprentice Magenta DiMagro were seemingly destroyed in their haven along with their gargoyle, Griphault, by Dylan and his associate, Katerine, before the Tzimisce and their accomplices were able to breach the security of the new chantry to capture Dylan and drive off Katerine.

Zlatco resurfaced months later when he assassinated Prince Emil's youngest childe and keeper of Elysium, Kutchka. The regent was apparently an adept or master of both Chimnestry and Vicissitude, as he used the guise of first the Ravnos, Madame Mina, then the Brujah Primogen, Boris Melor. He was tracked down and entorpored by the very group that had lead Dylan to his doorstep, and was summarily executed by Prince Emil. There was supposition that he conspired with someone in the Keeper's assassination, probably the then Ventrue Primogen Miklos Grubo.

Zlatco displayed powerful Vicissitude, Chimnestry, moderate Celerity, as well as mastery of The Lure of Flames, The Path of Levenbolt, and the ability to hang path magic in rituals as well as create sorcerously enhanced bone armor.
