Sobriquet:

Appearance: Volos has taken a massive, brutal, lizard-like form covered in dark grey-green scales. He walks stooped forward, counterbalanced by a heavy muscular tail. He has massive three-clawed hands and has been known to cover himself in heavy chain-mail and a blood-stained tabbard.

Behavior: For all of his bluster and pretensions to godhead, Volos is reasonably civil, and even friendly when treated with the respect he believes he is due.

History: Volos is the vampiric ruler of Montana, and most of Montana Provence, located in north-western Bulgaria. He only recently ascended to the position, usurping his sire, Magaria, in 1992, during a food-shortage riot following the breakdown of the Communist regime. Since then, he has consolidated his position, recalling a childe from Serbia (Nistor the Sly), and embracing another (Mircea). He has renewed his line's traditional rivalry with the Brujah Palanka in the northern town of Lom, who he considers to be a barbarian invader and pretender, as well as the Tzimisce Queen Lada, in nearby Vraca.
Volos is the name of a traditional Bulgarian god of death and the underworld. Residents of Montana know of and fear him and his cult, which dominates economic and political power in the province. His chosen enforcers are crafted to look much like him, and move through mortal society only under the cover of darkness.
