Sobriquet: Thomas, or Brother
Appearance: Brother Thomas is a 40 year-old man, with a common face, but with an calm smile. He is little, and is always wearing fransiscan monk's robes. He is always wearing his wooden cross around his neck. His brown eyes and hair (with a monastic cut) add to the aura of wisdom and calmness created by his Majesty.
Behavior: Always calm, taking all his time, Brother Thomas is a very strange Brujah, who surprises even those of his Clan who know him. Always against violence, he know hos to find the right words and the right story as a proof to his "point of vue". This sage is considered as a feeble man by the Individualists. He is, anyway the most accessible sage of Paris, even if his True Faith scares more than one Vampire in the capital.
History: Frere (Brother) Thomas was a Fransiscan monk living in an old monastery in the 13th century, while the Inquisition. He raised his voice to critic some pratices of the Inquisition. The Church didn't like it and he had to hide and try to continue his research. He had discovered some information which proved that the world was spherical! If someone knew it, he would have been burnt on the pyre!
But someone learned it. This pale man, with an extraordinary presence, but with even greater humility, talked a lot to him, night after night, of the marvels of the world. Of the time when Greeks radiated of knowledge before the christians destroyed it with their intolerant obscurantism. Brother Thomas answered that the message of God was a message of peace and love. The man answered that the Holy Bible wasn't so true to history than some inquisitors would like to others to believe.
For proof, he talked him about Moses and the Egyptians. Thomas, who didn't know the Ancient Egypt, was awed by the marvels told by the mysterious man.
Distrustful, he succeeded to make the man say that Cain was his Great Great Father.
Thomas was a researcher and an historian. His curiosity made him study the informations from this man who pretended to be a Childe of the Third Mortal.
After three days, he was sure that the real evil of the civilizations was to not remember the errors of the past. But even as he was sure, too, of the message of the Christ, he accepted the bargain of the strange man.
Since this time, he lives in the fringes of the vampiric society, never interfering, but always answering to questions from young generations, puting his knowledge of history in the service of love and peace.
While the Great Hunt, he couldn't make Villon forgive the young Brujah. He kept alone in the Catacombs of Notre Dame, tears of blood falling from his eyes as the massacre was coming over his head.
