The Mayflower pub in Rotherhithe, south-east London is open of the most popular London attractions with those tourists that love to visit famous pubs as well as those with an interest in the history of the United States of America. The Mayflower pub is located on the site of the Shippe public house. It was from here that The Pilgrims set sail for America in July 1620 aboard The Mayflower ship. The pub has since been re-named The Mayflower in recognition of its illustrious history.

The famous Captain Christopher Jones moored The Mayflower ship nearby before, as legend has it, enjoying a pint, before The Pilgrims began their famous voyage. The pub is located incredibly close to The Thames and is at its most popular on a hot summer’s day when the marvelous timbered terrace allows sun worshippers to enjoy the London sunshine while sipping a pint.

The Mayflower pub has a number of real ales on sale, ensuring a true English-pub experience for London tourists. The pub’s aesthetics evoke an Olde England feel, with wooden paneling, a real fire and gorgeous oak beams.
